San Francisco Weekend Getaway | Part 2: (Unexpected) Cold Weather

While I was in San Francisco, a good friend and co-worker of my husband's informed me that Mark Twain once said:

"The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco."

Unfortunately, this was after I had arrived in the seaside city with a suit case full of summer attire. No jacket... not even a cardigan. Why would I need it? I was going to California, after all. He relayed this quote to me--this valuable information--while I was complaining about how chilly it was. It wasn't even nighttime yet.

...

Needless to say, I found myself in a predicament--particularly once the sun went down. The days were nice, but the nights were frigid, especially with wind chill. After one night of walking around town and freezing, I decided I needed to buy something to keep me warm. Despite my husband's suspicions, this was not a ploy to get a new jacket (although it would have been an ingenious one and I almost wish I had thought of it). We made a quick trip to the shopping district. Sam and I both grabbed hoodies for our forest adventure, and I also bought the blazer shown above to feel a bit dressier in. (Ultimately I ended up wearing them both to stay warm. It was that chilly. Who knew?)

I can't say I'm too sad about the turn of events, however... because I have been wanting a new blazer--even if it will be awhile before I can wear it back here in Utah. These photos were taken on a cliffside overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Everything (except the one handsome photo of him that he let me take) was shot by my talented husband. He's getting pretty good with that camera of his, and we had fun capturing moments. I could have stayed there all day forever. Northern California is gorgeous!

Also, I have to mention that I absolutely love my Michael Kors sandals. They were the comfiest sandals for walking as much as we did in and around San Francisco. I'm not usually one to splurge on shoes, but I think these are worth it.

  2. When you are test-driving your auto, make sure it truly works concerning your real necessities. In the event that you have minimal ones and are introducing youngster auto seats, convey them along to see decisively how they fit. For individuals with apparatuses to convey for your activity, ensure they can fit enough inside the bed or trunk. This will give you a decent feeling of how great the vehicle fits your lifestyle and necessities. payday loan san diego
