Klair Marie's First Birthday Party

So.... this post is a little late. The partying took place over the weekend, but Klair and I came down with a cold and it's taken me more time than I would have liked to put this all together. Please forgive me my tardiness and enjoy.

We had so much support from friends and family for Klair's birthday this last weekend! We threw her a party on Saturday with a great turnout and then again on Sunday for some family. It was so fun to see so many loved faces, and I really enjoyed it all. Plus, Klair made out like a bandit with toys, books, and other presents. Everyone was far too generous.

This is a photo of our house that Sam took through the peep-hole window on our door.
Pretty artistic, eh?

The entrance.

The food.

The decor.

Sam just had to decorate her high chair.
He told me, "It's all about the details."                                      He also made this banner by hand.

Sam created a giant  "card" for Klair that everyone signed. My favorite inscription was "please walk for me" from my 6 year old nephew.

We made a slideshow of Klair's pictures and played it on the TV. I love our dog's enthusiasm in this picture.

I bought a kiddie pool and made a ball pit out of it. It was a big hit with the kiddos.

Klair and her cousins. They wanted to help her open her presents.

She got pretty good at ripping off wrapping paper by the end of it all.

She wasn't too thrilled about the idea of eating a cupcake in front of a crowd. I think it's the only time I would ever try to force her to eat a cupcake. I eventually gave up.

Haha, is it mean that I love this photo?

    1. Thank you so much! The gluten-free cake was a bit of an experiment, but it actually turned out quite well and tasted normal, Yaaay! And I couldn't agree more. Claire/Klair's (regardless of the spelling) are the best :)

    1. Thank you! My husband had the idea for the picture/card. I think it will be fun for her to read all of the little notes and signatures some day :) And I know! That made me laugh. My nephews are too funny.
